N.D. (KFGO) – A house that has sat vacant and boarded up for more than a year in a north Fargo neighborhood is scheduled to be torn down, within the next few days.
The house at 308 9th Avenue was heavily damaged during a standoff with police last February. It was there owner Marcus Schumacher shot and killed officer Jason Moszer before killing himself.
The home is contaminated with the remains of more than 50 tear gas canisters and the front was heavily damaged when the swat team’s armored Bearcat rammed the structure.
The city recently purchased the property. Once cleared, Habitat for Humanity has plans to build on the lot.
