N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Streeter, North Dakota man has been charged following a February 16th incident when he allegedly stole a pickup with a passenger inside.

Southeast District Court records show that 42 year-old Shane Dockter has been charged with Class C felonies of theft of property, terrorizing and felonious restraint. He’s also been charged with Class A misdemeanors of unauthorized use of a vehicle and carrying a firearm or dangerous weapon prohibited.

Documents say the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department responded to a February 16th call from Streeter Farmer’s Elevator when a man had reportedly stolen a pickup. The report says Doctor locked the doors of the vehicle and drove away with a passenger inside. The passenger was uninjured after jumping from the vehicle a few blocks away.

Dockter was arrested later by the Steele Police Department when he was found reportedly hiding in a semi-trailer. Police say they found a handgun belonging to Dockter’s father.

He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond and could face up to five years in jail and a $10,000 fine if convicted on serious charges.
