N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Three children were killed in an early Saturday morning fire.
Carrington Volunteer firefighters were called to the scene at around 4:30 Am Saturday, February 25th. The fire occurred in the mobile home park on the northwest side of Carrington.
Authorities report that three individuals survived and were taken to CHI St. Alexius Hospital. It wasn’t clear how badly the survivors were injured. The bodies of the deceased were taken to the medical examiner’s office in Grand Forks for autopsies.
Because the incident is under investigation by the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the State Fire Marshal, information is not immediately available.
A post created on GoFundMe identifies the victims who died as the three young children of Dawn and Brandon Tufte. In the three hours the post was created, over $17,000 had been raised.
