CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A class called Pulse Freezer Meals will be held on Tuesday, February 28 at 5:00 pm in the Barnes County Courthouse basement. 

Sue Milender Toppen, licensed registered dietitian and Barnes County Extension Agent will be the instructor.

The class will provide tips about making homemade, healthful convenience foods using pulse foods (chickpeas, split peas, and lentils).  Pulse foods are good sources of protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. 

Learn about North Dakota-grown pulse foods (lentils, chickpeas, and split peas) through a presentation and fun Bingo game, recipes, videos and handouts.  There is no charge for the class and it is sponsored by ON THE MOVE.
