Koushkouski Krapp Stocking, 95, formerly of Jamestown, ND, passed away on February 19, 2017 at Eventide in Moorhead, MN.
Ann was born on October 4, 1921 on a farm near Goldwin, ND. She was the daughter of Peter and Anna (Liegman) Koushkouski. Ann attended the country school near Goldwin, ND. She worked for various families. Ann married Harold Krapp on December 14, 1939. They had two daughters, Shirley and Cleo. They lived on the Krapp family farm west of Buchanan until 1948 when they moved to Jamestown, ND. Harold “Jick” died on October 22, 1964. She married Floyd Stocking in August 1975. They lived in Hettinger, ND until his death in 1982. She returned to Jamestown, ND after his death. She lived there until 2010 when she moved to Fargo-Moorhead.
In Jamestown many people recognized her from various jobs. Over the years Ann worked at The Equity, the Green Stamp Store, Leever’s Super Valu, and JCPenney where she worked for 25 years before retiring at the age of 80. She was also a member of the St. James Altar Society.
She loved making peanut brittle for people. Her grandchildren loved her cheese dumplings, potato salad, cream chicken, pickles, and brownies. She enjoyed gatherings of all kinds, especially weddings and dances for her grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Ann loved spending time with her girls. She looked forward to their yearly road trips. Time with her grandchildren included lots of laughter, playing Yahtzee, Trouble, rummy, making favorite “grandma” foods, trips to see the “buffalo”, and taking the boys gopher hunting at the farm. Get-togethers always included grandma and grandkid pictures.
Ann is survived by her two daughters; Shirley Palmer, Fargo, and Cleo (Noel) Drummond, Fargo/Glenfield; seven grandchildren, Chris (Kristi) Palmer, Chuck (Jennifer) Palmer, Mary (Shawn) Palmer Bjonfald, Curtis (Lana) Palmer, Don (Amy) Drummond, Scott Drummond, and Suzanne (Justin) Fox; twelve great-grandchildren, Madison, Sydney, Benjamin, Jake, Ryan, Kate, Megan, Adam, Isaac, Nathaniel, Wyatt, and Grace; special niece, Corinne Rasche and special nephew, Larry Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Anna Koushkouski; husbands, Harold Krapp and Floyd Stocking; son-in-law, Denny Palmer; six brothers, Tony Koushkouski, Paul Koushkouski, Lewis Koushkouski, Leo Koushkouski, and two in infancy, Peter Koushkouski and Frank Koushkouski; six sisters, Louise Hamkens, Agnes Wojick, Marge Borgen, Maggie Bartkowski, Dorothy Rance, and Laura Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial: 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2017 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017 and an hour before the Mass on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the church.
Rosary: 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017 with a Vigil to follow at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
Memorials: May be made to St. James Basilica or the FACE Foundation.
