N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Over a thousand anglers from across North Dakota made their way to Pelican Point Smokey’s Landing for the 9th Annual Jamestown Rural Fire Department Fishing Derby Saturday, February 18th.
Jamestown Fire Chief Ben Maulding stated that they had sold out for raffle tickets this year. Top prizes were given for biggest Perch, Walleye, Northern and Crappie. According to the department, 115 total fish were caught including 68 crappie, 30 perch, 5 northern, and 11 walleye.
The department reports that 1,350 participants were on the ice. Below are the results from the day:
