(NewsDakota.com)-  The Jamestown-Valley City Prowl U14 girls hockey team won the Capital Cup February 12th in Bismarck. They started off the tournament facing the Regina Tigers in the first round with a 3-0 shut out with Jada Nelson in net. Their second round against the Regina Panthers was a 8-0 shut out with Erika Anderson in net. They beat the home team Bismarck Capitals 10-1 with Bailey Leroux in net to advance to the championship game. It was a close game against the Dickinson Lady Outlaws with Jada Nelson in net, winning 3-2 to take the cup. 

 “It’s been a fun year!” Says coach Brett Stockert. “These girls have formed a unique bond and have made tremendous strides this season. We look forward to them playing their best hockey these last few weeks.” 
 The team is currently 14-11 and has a state tournament coming up March 10-12 in Mandan.
