(NewsDakota.com) – Bismarck’s power play was lethal Thursday night as the Demons defeated Jamestown 7-0 in boys high school hockey in the Capital City. 

Bismarck struck for Five goals with the extra skater and improved to 13-0 in the West Region. 

The Demons out shot the Jays 54-17, with Jamestown Junior Goalie Matthew Schneider coming up with 47 saves. “I felt we played better than Tuesday night”  said head coach Matt Stockert, “But we can’t put a team like that on the power play as often as we did tonight.”

Bismarck sharp shooter Eric Pladsen scored his 34th goal of the season, which is tops in the state. 

Next up for the Blue Jays is their regular season finale at Minot Saturday, and than it’s on to the West Region Tournament in Bismarck next Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 

Jamestown will face Dickinson in the opening round at 1:30 pm. The two teams split their regular season match-ups.
