CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Liz Nelson of Valley City was installed as a new member of the Valley City Rotary Club on February 6th. Nelson works at Dacotah Bank in Valley City.

Also during the meeting Valley City Barnes County Director of Economic Development Jennifer Feist the positive impact the new Employee Retention and Recruiting Coordinator position will have for Valley City and Barnes County.

 

Employee Retention & Recruiting Coordinator Trinity Potts.

The Valley City-Barnes County Development Corporation officially created the new position earlier this year in response to area employer and workforce needs.

Potts is originally from LaMoure, North Dakota and will graduate from Valley City State University with a degree in Psychology and Human Services in the spring of 2017.

Feist said the creation of this position is in response to the closure of the Valley City Job Service office in 2016.

Potts will assist employers by participating in their recruiting cycle, provide community tours and post job openings on-line or in the Job Service system. Job seekers would receive assistance with registering and posting resumes in the Job Service system, which is interconnected with multiple job search organizations.
