N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Public School District will be moving forward with the planning phase in order to hold a special election in 2017.

In 2015, a Special Election was held for $19 million in general obligation school-building bonds for school construction and renovations at elementary and middle schools. The vote failed with 58% yes votes, lower than the 60% needed to pass.

The District has begun negotiations with Consolidated Construction Co., which will provide construction management at-risk services for pre-referendum planning and design. A March negotiation agreement is expected to be formalized and presented to the Jamestown School Board.
