CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Valley City State University has set spring enrollment records for the second consecutive year according to official Spring Semester 2017 census numbers released Tuesday, Feb. 7th.
The VCSU enrollment figures show a record spring headcount of 1,407 students, along with a spring record for full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment of 1,007.
The two marks represent a continuation of a growth trend at VCSU over the last decade. Since 2008, VCSU’s spring headcount as grown by more than 48 percent (from 946 to 1,407), and spring FTE enrollment has jumped by more than 32 percent (from 758 to 1,007) over the same period.
President Tisa Mason said, “To have more students and their families choosing Valley City State makes us proud. Our increasing numbers reflect the tremendous level of effort, care and concern our faculty and staff dedicate toward helping our students learn, grow and succeed, and that’s what makes for a great education.”
U.S. News and World Report has recognized VCSU as the No. 1 Public Regional College in the Midwest in 2017 and 2016, and the university has been ranked a U.S. News “Best College” for 19 consecutive years.
