N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – CHI St. Alexius Health in Carrington has initiated visitor restrictions effective immediately Monday.

Marketing Coordinator Nicole Threadgold reports that the restrictions are implemented due to an increase in influenza. The restrictions will be in effect until further notice.

“The CHI St. Alexius Health Medical Clinic and Urgent Care in Carrington along with the CHI St. Alexius Health Family Clinic in New Rockford advise healthy individuals to limit clinic visits when possible,” Threadgold reports in a release.

The hospital restrictions allow for immediate family members only who are over 18 years of age. The general public is advised to vaccinate against influenza if possible. The restrictions follow that of Bismarck and Mandan, after an influx of influenza reports.
