N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Orphan Grain Train has been part of the community and region since 2014, but has been a volunteer organization for nearly 25 years.
The organization first moved into a physical location in 2015 inside the old C&H Lumber building. Jamestown Branch Manager Elissa Rosin stated that the organization focuses on transporting needed items nationwide and worldwide.
Rosin points out that they’ve stuck to volunteering on Monday’s and Saturday’s from 9 to Noon.
The group has been working with the country of Liberia, providing everything from books to food for the children and schools.
