N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two Tappen residents were injured following a rear-ending collision East of Dawson Tuesday evening.
The State Highway Patrol reports that driver James Dewey, 50, and passenger Summer Maxon, 28, were traveling westbound on I-94 at around 6:00 PM Tuesday evening. The vehicle entered the median, overturned and rolled through the median onto the eastbound lanes. A semi driven by Kyle Olson, 50, of Lake Park, MN was traveling eastbound and rear-ended the vehicle.
Dewey fled the scene on foot but was found a short time later. Maxon was transported to Bismarck for treatment of serious injuries.
Dewey sustained minor injuries, was treated and released. He was then arrested for charges from the crash and transported to the Burleigh County Correctional Center.
