CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) One day after the death of a Valley City High School student, the community is grieving the loss of David Lynch according to Superintendent Josh Johnson.  

Johnson says “Our students and staff are pulling together to support one another. We are grateful for the support we have received from West Fargo Public Schools, Valley City State University, and our community partners.

Counselors will be available today and in the coming days as our students and staff mourn the loss of David Lynch and remember all of the good memories we have of him.

“Out of respect for the Lynch family, Valley City Public Schools will not be accepting requests for interviews or making any further statements. Inquiries related to cause of death or other aspects of this matter should be directed to agencies authorized to speak to those specific issues. Thank you in advance for respecting the grieving process occurring at Valley City Public Schools.”
