CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Earlier this month, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum announced additional budget cuts were needed to balance the state budget.

One project on hold indefinitely due to the budget cut proposal includes funding to construct the new Fine Arts and Communication building on the Valley City State University campus. Under the plan two structures including Foss Music Hall and McCarthy Hall would be eliminated for one new building.

VCSU President Dr. Tisa Mason said everything is in limbo until the end of the 2017 North Dakota legislative session. Mason talked about that and other issues of interest with reporter Steve Urness during our Voice of the Valley show on January 27th.
