N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Following a record setting year in 2016 with over 10,000 passengers, the Jamestown Regional Airport has set their goals for 2017.
The airport reached their mark of 10,000 passengers in November and finished 2016 with 11,123 passengers. They were also one of three airports in North Dakota to see a positive increase in boarding’s compared to 2015.
Airport Manager Samuel Seafeldt stated that they also completed several other projects in 2016.
By also reaching the 10,000 passenger mark, the airport will now be eligible for significantly more funding in 2018.
Seafeldt pointed out that the airport has six major projects they would like to complete this year. They include wetland mitigation in the Northeast part of the airport property and taxiway rehabilitation.
Seafeldt thanked the Stutsman County commission, area residents and all those who used the airport in 2016.
