Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther’s latest report shows the runs and calls the department responded to between January 19th and 26th. Some calls include carbon monoxide in a home, fire alarm activation’s, and several reports of smoke.

Call No. 20 January 19th, 1:54PM, ready squad responded to 314 4th Ave SW, Single Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 20 ppm was detected. Occupant was advised to have the boiler inspected by a qualified firm. Cause-boiler. Time out 20 minutes.
Call No. 21 January 19th, 2:15PM, ready squad responded to 1108 2nd Place NE, Single Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-recheck. Time out 20 minutes.
Call No. 22 January 19th, 9:22PM, ready squad responded to 503 15th St SE, Single Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 8 ppm was detected. Occupant was advised to have the boiler inspected by a qualified firm and contact property manager. Cause-possible furnace. Time out 10 minutes.

Occupant was advised to have the gas fired appliances inspected by a qualified firm. Cause-gas fire appliance. Time out 25 minutes.
