N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Division of Vocational Rehabilitation recognizes that a disability is one part of who a person is, and at work, it is what people can do that matters.

DVR is part of the North Dakota Department of Human Services and works with disability related solutions in the workplace. They’ve been working since the Soldiers and Sailors Act of 1940.

Linda Kinzler is the Regional Administrator for Region VI, which covers around 9 counties. She pointed out that assist individuals with disabilities to improve their employment opportunities and assist businesses in solving disability-related issues. Kinzler gave sight loss as an example.

Kinzler pointed out that their service is free for all businesses.

Kinzler also reported that the biggest issue they have run into while serving the area has been transportation.
