N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Over the course of 11 years, the Polar Pig event has raised over 0,000 for JRMC Home & Hospice Care.
The event returns to Stutsman Harley Davidson on February 4th.
Organizer Don Wegner stated that the event originally started out as something to add to Cabin Fever days of Jamestown.
The event has since grown. JRMC Foundation Director Lisa Jackson stated that efforts like this were what allowed their Home & Hospice care to do what they do.
Participants will dress up in wacky costumes and jump into water on a chilly, winter Saturday. Wenger stated that all participants needed to do was find a sponsor, whether it’s a business or individual, and all proceeds would be donated to the JRMC Home & Hospice.
There will also be a chili cook-off/feed and live auction during the plunge. Events start at 10 AM Saturday, February 4th at Stutsman Harley Davidson.
