(NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown baseball team is fresh off their 52-win season and bring back a strong core this spring. They are ranked 16th in the NAIA preseason poll, two spots up from where they finished in 2015-16.
The Jimmies are off to a 6-1 start after playing seven fall games. Their only loss was 4-2 to Mayville State.
Coach Tom Hager’s team returns the middle of their lineup; Landon Uetz, Vince Sablan, Alex Sablan, and Quinn Irey. They have a new ace in Jerome Byndloss and more fire power out of the bullpen.
Jamestown opens up their spring season on February 24th at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis against Grand View.
Bellevue, who was picked to win the NSAA, is ranked third in the poll. You can view the entire poll here.
