N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A number of Americans study soil health to both improve the quality of their crops and improve the health of the soil.

The NDSU Extension Service will be conducting several Soil Health Café Talks to discuss the importance of soil health, while also learning what farmers and ranchers have seen in their soil over the course of 2016.

Alicia Harstad is an extension agent with NDSU Extension Service Stutsman County.

Harstad pointed out that the talks are more producer driven and can sometimes lead to different ideas.

Stutsman County talks are set to be held from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM January 27th, February 10th and 24th at the Jamestown Truck Plaza. Lunch will be provided and the talks are free to anyone.
