N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  Junior Forward Charlie Black had 18 points and Senior Tronis McKay had 17 to help the Indians of Four Winds/Minnewaukan defeat the Cardinals of Carrington 74-58 on Tuesday night.  FWM improves to 11-1 overall, Carrington suffers their first loss of the season and stands at 11-1 also.

Leading the way for the Cardinals was Junior Point Guard Garrett Bickett with a game high 24 points, including four 3-pointers.  Junior Kolton Vetter had 11, including three 3-pointers and Senior Bryce Edland added 10 points.  Senior Steve Redfox had 10 points for the Indians.  Carrington was down 43-27 at halftime, they tried to claw their way back in the fourth quarter as they narrowed the deficit to just 11 points, but Black scored six of his 18 in the fourth quarter to help secure the victory.  Carrington committed 16 turnovers, compared to just nine from FWM.  Both teams shot well from the charity stripe, the Cards were 13 of 14, the Indians were six of seven.  FWM has won the last seven meetings between the two teams.
