CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – So many people have a positive impact on the community and in this case the students they serve.

Jessica Sanden is the Library Media Specialist at Washington Elementary School in Valley City.

Washington Elementary principal Chad Leuck said Sanden puts in that extra effort for the students and is on most days the first person in the building bright and early in the morning.

Superintendent Josh Johnson said it’s important to recognized teachers and staff member who are willing to put in the extra time for the good of the school. Johnson and the Valley City School board recognize and honor teachers and staff member on a monthly basis during their regular school board meetings.
