N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Valley Library system doesn’t have much more wait time before the new bookmobile is finished and arrives.

The board has learned that the new bookmobile is scheduled for a January 30th arrival. The Stutsman County Library will close the day it arrives so staff can be trained to drive it.

The custom built machine cost roughly $239,501 to build, which is being covered by the current capital campaign. Development Director Bill Kennedy reports that initial delivery of the bookmobile was delayed because of errors made on the original body’s construction.

The current bookmobile will be parked at Buffalo City Diesel until it can be sold.
