CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Commission accepted the resignation of city commissioner Rick Ross last night with regret.

Earlier this month, Ross tendered his resignation following threats of violence against him and his family from a few people who live in Barnes County over the course of several weeks according to Ross.

Valley City Commissioner Mike Bishop said it’s time for the silent majority to speak out against this of type of intimidation.

Valley City Commissioner Duane Magnuson said some of these people are now threatening him and his livelihood, nearly on a daily basis.

Magnuson and Bishop made those statements after the city commission reluctantly accepted the resignation of Rick Ross on Tuesday, January 17th.
