N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Stutsman County Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist came before the Stutsman County Commission Tuesday to request approval in a backup answering point system.

In the past legislation, it was determined that local dispatch’s were required to have backup agreements with their Public Safety Answering Point System (PSAP). Bergquist reported that Stutsman County’s backup is State Radio out of Bismarck.

Bergquist reported that in the event of equipment failure, this formal agreement would rely on State Radio in Bismarck to cover. The Commission unanimously approved.
