N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Commission met Tuesday to address several items within the county.
One of the items discussed was approval of a Joint Powers Agreement for Moon Lake Township. Stutsman County Highway Superintendent Mickey Nenow reports that the community has requested $20,000 to be paid over the course of 10 years.
Stutsman County Auditor Casey Bradley reported that the township missed their mill levy deadline and was using the funding request as a last resort. The commission approved of the request.
Josh Smaage, IT Director, requested the county use some reimbursement funds from 2012 to upgrade the county’s security camera system.
Smaage says the upgrade would cost roughly $40,000 and would be beneficial in several ways to the county. He also requested that some of the remaining funds be used to add more key-less entry to several other rooms in the courthouse. Smaage didn’t have a total, but would return next month with an estimate.
