FORKS, N.D. – (NewsDakota.com) Grand Forks National Weather Service forecaster Ryan Knutsvig says cold arctic air will hit state starting Wednesday night bring bitterly cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills of 40 to 50 below zero on Thursday.
Knutsvig says temperatures should moderate by Friday or Saturday. He says high wind gusts are causing blowing and drifting snow in the open country today with wind gusts as high as 35 mph at times.
