FORKS (NewsDakota.com)- The Valley City High School Gymnastics Team came within 3 points of defeating defending state champion Dickinson at The Grand Forks Invite Saturday. The Hi-Liners scored 140.775 to finish 2nd in the 6 team field. First place finisher Dickinson held a team score of 143.475.
Taylor Johnson’s 36.375 placed her 2nd in the all around. She was 1st in the beam, 2nd in the bars, 5th in the floor and 21st in the vault. Michaela Thibert was 5th in the all around after taking 2nd in the floor, 4th in the bars, 5th in the vault and 22nd on the beam.Grace Anderson was 10th in the all around, her best finish was 4th place on floor. Jocey Kriewald came in 12th in the all around, she was 8th on the bars. Hannah Sorensen,14th in the all around, was 9th in the bars and Britta Roerich was 16th in the all around and 12th on the beam.
Valley City Gymnastics is back home Tuesday.
