N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that multiple crashes occurred on I-94 eastbound on the Grant Marsh Bridge between Bismarck and Mandan Thursday.
According to Sgt. Ryan Duletski, at around 7:40 AM, a driver failed to maintain control of their vehicle on icy road conditions and crashed into the concrete median barrier, blocking the left lane. Following the initial collision, traffic slowed and stopped, resulting in three rear-end crashes. Eight vehicles were damaged and four were towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
The eastbound lanes of I-94 were temporarily closed to clear vehicles from the bridge deck for roughly an hour.
