N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – No injuries were reported following a New Year’s Eve house fire that displaced a woman and her dog in Jamestown.

Jamestown Fire Crews received a call at around 8:30 PM from the female occupant of the home, who used a neighbors phone to reach emergency crews. FIre crews reported that the woman is being helped with lodging and immediate assistance by the American Red Cross Association.

The house, located at 403 1/2 3rd Avenue NW was deemed a total loss. Officials are investigating, but say that the cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious.

17 firefighters and five trucks responded, taking about 3 hours to put out the blaze.
