N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their final run report of 2016 for the weeks between December 16th through December 29th.
According to Fire Chief Jim Reuther, the department responded to roughly 28calls in 2016. In the year’s final run report, crews saw a vehicle fire in which the individual needed to be extricated, power line fire, and some fire alarm activation.

Call No. 279 December 16th, 6:15PM, ready squad responded to 1012 2nd Ave NW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 35 minutes.
Call No. 280 December 19th, 8:10AM, fire department heavy rescue responded to I 94 Exit 266, to a report of a person/s trapped in a vehicle. Firefighters extricated (1) person from the vehicle and assisted EMS. Cause-vehicle rollover. No firefighter injuries reported. Time out 50 minutes.
Call No. 281 December 21st, 2:54PM, ready squad responded to 501 19th St NE, Ava Maria Village, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
Call No. 282 December 24th, 11:25AM, ready squad responded to 824 2nd Ave SE, Single Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 35 minutes.
Call No. 283 December 25th, 4:48PM, fire department responded to the area of 1218 6th Ave NE, to a report of a tree on fire in the power lines. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units. Cause-weighted trees with ice and wind. Incident was reported to Otter Tail Power Company. No injuries reported. Time out 35 minutes.
