N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that a man was injured after striking a light pole at a rest area west of Jamestown Thursday morning.

Officials say Issaka Rawuf, 28, of Dickinson was traveling eastbound on I-94 when he attempted to exit at the rest area four miles west of Jamestown. Rawuf lost control due to compacted snow and ice, striking a light pole. The vehicle suffered extensive damage and Rawuf needed to be extricated from the vehicle.

He was transported to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center and later to Sanford in Bismarck with non-life threatening injuries.
