(NewsDakota.com) – The Jimmie basketball teams will once again make the trek to Sioux City for a pair of doubleheaders against some future conference foes. Just about every year the University of Jamestown teams have gone to play Morningside and Briar Cliff the days following Christmas.

They will play Thursday at 5:30pm and 7:30pm against Morningside College and on Friday at 1pm and 3pm against Briar Cliff. Both games will be played at Morningside.

When the Jimmies join the GPAC for the 2018-19 season, both of these teams will be included on the conference schedule for a home-and-home.

The Mustang women won the national championship in 2015 and the Jimmies last beat them in 2013. The Jimmies knocked off Briar Cliff earlier this year by nine points in a neutral site game at Mayville State.

The Jamestown men lost a tough 90-88 game against Morningside last year and haven’t beat Briar Cliff since 2011.
