CITY (NewsDakota.com)-  Valley City hosted West Fargo in their final home doubleheader of 2016. The Packers took both games with the girls winning 69-52 and the boys 81-68. The Hi-Liner girls are now 0-4 on the season while the boys team drops to 2-3. Both teams travel to Devils Lake January 3rd. 

 

 

GBB: West Fargo 69 VCHS 52

Valley City was able to pace West Fargo in the 1st half and kept the game within 4 points in the final minute. Courtney Lloyd hit a field goal with 26 seconds left to cut The Hi-Liners deficit to 29-27. After an offense foul by West Fargo, Valley City had another chance to score and Reagan Ingstad knocked down a 3 giving VCHS the 30-29 advantage at intermission. 

The Packers came out strong in the 2nd half and roared back with a 12-2 scoring to take the lead for good and would not allow Valley City to get any closer than 17 points. West Fargo’s Akealy Moton topped all scorers with 24 points, Gabby DuBois had 18 and Mariah Schatz 10. 

McKenna Taylor make 4 3pointers to pace Valley City with 12 points. Taryn Dieterle added 10 and Reagan Ingstad 9.

BBB: West Fargo 81 VCHS 68

The highest scoring team in The EDC never trailed in their 81-68 victory over The Hi-Liners. Three players record double figures for West Fargo, Joe Pistorius scored 22 points, Raiden Forrest had 11 off the bench and John Morton added 10.

Levi Nix posted a game high 23 points, Riley Miller scored 17 and Nate Rodriguez 12.
