(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School girls basketball team fell to 0-2 in Class B District 5 play after a 76-56 loss on Thursday night to Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier.
The Tornadoes were in a 17-2 hole early on before going on a 11-0 run to pull within four points at the end of the first. In the end, the Rebels pulled away in the middle stages of the second quarter and never looked back
EKM (5-2, 1-0 Class B District 5) had a team high 18 points from Katie Entzi.
Oakes (4-4, 0-2) was lead by Nicole Schmitz with 16 points. The Tornadoes next plays on January 3 at home against Strasburg/Zeeland.
