N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2016 North Dakota income tax booklets and forms are now available online at www.nd.gov/tax/forms. Tax season will officially begin on Monday, January 23, 2017.

In an effort to modernize systems, cut costs, and work toward being more environmentally responsible, the Office of State Tax Commissioner will no longer be printing and mailing any tax booklets or forms.

Tax Commissioner Ryan Rauschenberger said nearly 87 percent of North Dakota individual income tax filers now e-file, He said, that number has steadily increased since e-file was introduced back in 1999.

A total of 509,000 individuals filed a North Dakota individual income tax return for tax year 2015. Taxpayers may call 701.328.1243 for help accessing income tax booklets and forms online.
