CITY (NewsDakota.com)- Kindred’s offense was too much for The Hi-Liners. The Vikings handed Valley City their 2nd loss of the season 75-58 Thursday night. With an opening field goal from Derek Houska Kindred never trailed. Three pointers kept VCHS in the game early but The Vikings found an answer for the offensive out pour and began to pull away en route to a 49-27 halftime lead.

The Hi-Liners outscored Kindred 31-26 in the 2nd half with Levi Nix and Nate Rodriguez combining for 23 points.

The Vikings’ had 3 of their 5 starters score in double figures led by Brock Benson’s 26 points, Ethan Lingen had 17 and Nicholas Zink 12. Rodriguez finished the night with 20 and Nix 18. Justin Manson, Riley Miller and Drew Oberlander each had 6 points.

Kindred plays Napoleon/GS Saturday. Valley City,1-2, faces Jamestown in doubleheader Tuesday at The HAC.
