CITY, N.D. – (NewsDakota.com) The Renew & Replace fund was set up in Valley City to help lower some pocket book pain for city residents during major paving reconstruction projects.

Valley City Administrator David Schelkoph said the R&R fund was established in 2007 after residents along 5th Avenue Northeast received a sticker shock for paying off their special assessments.

Schelkoph talked about special assessments and the focus behind the R&R fund with reporter Steve Urness during KOVC’s Voice of the Valley show earlier this month.
