Cebula, 90, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Tuesday morning, December 13, 2016, in the hands of a staff of angels in the Special Care Unit at Eventide Senior Center.
Marguerite Prodzinski was born in Ashland Township, near Kensal, ND, on January 14, 1926, the daughter of Theodore and Anna (Neva) Prodzinski. She received her elementary education in Ashland Township School and graduated from Kensal High School. Marguerite worked at the Jamestown National Bank before her marriage, and did part time title work for R.M. Stoudt when her children were school age. She was united in marriage to Robert A. Cebula on September 21, 1948 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fried, ND. They made their home in Jamestown.
Marguerite was an active member of St. James Basilica, St. James Tabernacle Society, Our Lady of Lourdes Circle, and Willing Workers Homemakers. She shared a close, lifetime bond with her circle and homemaker friends and with her coffee groups. Marguerite had a passion for family gatherings and hosting friends and relatives in her home. She had exceptional talent in sewing, crafts, baking and decorating. Her time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her special happiness. She looked forward to their visits and loved making a yearly trip with her husband to Missoula, MT.
Marguerite is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, Jerry (Colleen) Cebula, Missoula, MT, Judy (John) Stromstad, Bismarck, ND, Whitney Deane, DeShawn and Jayden Deane, Benbrook, TX, Katie Stromstad, Denver, CO, Kirsten (Nick) Horner, Seattle, WA, Colleen (Kevin ) Koehn, Jamestown, ND, Jill (Andy) Betsinger, Jocelyn Betsinger, Ramsey, MN, Andrew Koehn, Jamestown, ND, Mary Kay (Tom) Lindberg, Jamestown, ND, Heidi (Mike Mickelson) Lindberg, Kori Lindberg-Mickelson, Shayne Mickelson, Jamestown, ND, and Kellie (Jason Kraft) Lindberg, Surrey, ND; and sister and brother-in-law, Marcella (Clair) Baker, Jamestown, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert on October 8, 2011; and two brothers, Marvin Prodzinski and Myron Prodzinski.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, with Father John Aertz officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2016 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Vigil: 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2016 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown, with a Knights of Columbus Rosary beginning at 6:30pm.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
Memorials: The family suggests donations to Eventide Special Care Unit, JRMC Foundation, St. James Basilica, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
