JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Medical Center is set to meet their goal of establishing a cancer center in the community.
Marketing Manager Katie-Ryan Anderson reports that the JRMC Foundation has already raised $650,000 of the needed $1.5 million goal. She says the hospital is asking for the community’s support as they recruit an oncologist and raise money to offer the service.
“The JRMC Cancer Center will provide chemotherapy infusions to more than 100 Jamestown area residents while eliminating more than 160,000 miles of travel per year,” Ryan-Anderson states in a release.
An official announcement and presentation is set for today at the K.C. Hall in Jamestown at Noon. A free pasta luncheon will be held followed by presentations by K.C. DeBoer and Thrivent Financial.
