SN (PlayNorthStar.com) – Kyra Dewald of Jamestown (N.D.) was named North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week, announced by the conference office Monday.  It is the second straight week she has received the honor.

Kyra Dewald – Jamestown (N.D.) – 5’5″ – Senior – Guard – Jamestown, N.D. – Dewald averaged 19.5 points, 7.5 steals, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in helping No. 10-ranked Jamestown (N.D.) remain undefeated in North Star Athletic Association conference play.  In UJ’s 81-45 road victory at Viterbo (Wis.), she scored 18 points in 22 minutes and recorded six steals.  The following night at Waldorf (Iowa), Dewald scored 21 points on 9-of-12 field goal shooting in just 21 minutes and set a Jimmie single-game record of nine steals.  For the week, she shot 51.7 percent from the field (15-of-29), 4-of-11 from 3-point range and converted 5-of-7 free-throws.
