N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The community of Carrington was left reeling and stuck following a major storm that dropped roughly 16 inches of snow over the course of this week.

Carrington Public Works Director Dan Trosen reports that city crews have been busy cleaning city streets and roads for motorists and residents. He stated that the main focus of the crews and contractors is to make sure everyone can get out of their homes.

Trosen says the snows also caused some damage in the area.

City crews will continue to remove snow today, Saturday and a little Sunday. Then they will get back to it again Monday. Trosen says during the storm, all roads into and out of Carrington were closed, trapping upwards of 300 trucks within Carrington.

Trosen thanked all the contractors and those who have helped during the storm and in snow removal.
