CITY (VCSUVikings)- Valley City State University volleyball sophomore Clarissa Olson has been named Honorable Mention to the North Central All Region team announced by the AVCA.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced it’s regional awards last week.

Fourteen players earned North Central All Region honors, while Olson was one of eight athletes to be named Honorable Mention.

Olson, a 5-foot-9 middle blocker from Valley City, was earlier named 1st Team All Conference in the North Star Athletic Association.

She led the Vikings with a .318 hitting percentage this season. Olson tallied 263 kills – averaging 2.14 per game – in 585 attacks. She committed just 77 attacking errors and posted 76 total blocks.
