CITY (NewsDakota.com) The 2016 playing of the Barnes County Girls Basketball Tournament starts Tuesday, December 6 and runs Thursday December 8 and Saturday December 10 at the W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse on the campus of Valley City State University.

Opening round play commences at 3 p.m. Tuesday with #1 LaMoure-Litchville-Marion facing #8 Griggs County Central. At around 4:30 p.m. #4 Oakes faces #5 Enderlin.

The evening session is supposed to start around 6 with #2 Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page meeting #7 Maple Valley, and #3 Barnes County North and #6 Sargent Central meet at around 7:30.
