N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Many parts of Central and Western North Dakota have been highly affected with the major snow storm earlier this week.

Interstate 94 was closed between Dickinson and Mandan Tuesday evening, schools have postponed classes and the storm warning remains in effect until this afternoon. Jeff Schild is a meteorologist with the Bismarck National Weather Service.

Schild also reports that it’s going to get a lot colder heading into next week with predicted temperatures in the single digits and wind chills of 20 to 25 degrees below zero.

The Jamestown area and U.S. Highway 281 have been nearly untouched, only seeing rain and not much else. Meteorologist say if the temperatures had been a little cooler, the area would have seen a blizzard.

Falling temperatures next week could also result in some snowfall for the area and James River Valley.
