(NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown volleyball team picked up their first victory in program history at the final site of the NAIA national tournament with a 3-2 (26-24, 23-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-10) win over No. 14 Missouri Baptist.
Five players had double-digit kills with Morgan Hensch leading the team with 13. Haley Glasoe, Heather Bachmann, Kaitlin Anderson and Madison Wendel each had over 10. Aubrey Beaumont dished out 32 assists, with Josie Hegerle adding 19.
The Jimmies will play No. 3 Hastings tomorrow morning at 9am and then will finish off pool play against Union (KY) on Thursday also at 9am. If they finish in the top-2 of their pool they will advance to a single-elimination tournament which beings on Friday.
