CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A newly formed committee in Valley City is asking for the public’s assistance in helping law enforcement and soldiers working on the front line of the Dakota Access Pipeline protest in Morton County, North Dakota.
Holly Neuberger, Barb Henke and Eileen Maresh are on the committee. They said police officers and soldiers have been working long hours in order to keep the public and protesters safe near the DAPL protest. Some of those working include Valley City Police officers and Barnes County Sheriff’s Deputies who are assisting Morton County officials.
The committee said if individuals and club organizations who would like to donate items or make a monetary contribution is greatly appreciated.
Some of the items they need include: Hand warmers, body warmers, thermal socks, water, snacks, protein bars, paper plates, plastic cups and silverware, paper towels, hot chocolate mix, batteries size AAA, AA, C & D and winter face masks and gloves.
Drop boxes in Valley City: The lobby of the Valley City police department, Barnes County Sheriff’s Office and the east door of the Valley City Eagles Club.
