N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It’s been 26 years since Pastor Fritz Buegle first held the Community Thanksgiving Dinner and that will continue this Thanksgiving.
The dinner was first held at the Pantry Cafe for those who didn’t have a place to go for the holidays and couldn’t travel to see family. Betty Mahlke is an organizer for the event.
Mahlke says the event this year will be at Concordia Lutheran Church. They will prepare the meals using the University of Jamestown’s kitchen and equipment and then transport the food to the church on Thanksgiving morning. The meal will be served from 11 AM to 1 PM and is free to everyone.
Any food leftover from the event will be donated to the Daily Bread Program. Individuals who would like a meal delivered can contact the Concordia Lutheran Church at 701-252-2819.
